Cyber Security Awareness Week

On 25th October 2024, our school held a special assembly to conclude Cyber Awareness Week, celebrated from 16th October 2024.The theme of this Week was “Cyber Surakshit Bharat, Satark Nagrik”. This week was dedicated to educating students across all grades on the importance of cyber security, through a series of events aimed at promoting safe online practices and the responsible use of technology. The assembly provided a platform to showcase the students’ learning and highlight the need for cyber safety.

The week featured a variety of engaging activities such as Poster Making, Slogan Writing, Debate Competitions, and PowerPoint Presentations that encouraged students from classes 8 to 12 to express their thoughts creatively on cyber security. Additionally, educational movies were shown to enhance students’ understanding of digital safety: “Ctrl” for students of classes 8 to 12 and an animated movie for our Pre-Primary students, tailored to their comprehension levels.

The assembly opened with an informative article presentation on the need and significance of cyber security, emphasizing how integral it has become in today’s digital era. This was followed by a Thought of the Day, reminding everyone of the importance of online caution. A group song on cyber awareness further reinforced the theme, engaging the audience with a creative and catchy message about safe online behavior.

The junior students of Class 1 performed an Act cum Dance on the dangers of mobile addiction, portraying how excessive screen time affects mental and physical health. A powerful Nukkad Natak on cyber awareness was performed next, addressing online frauds, cyberbullying, and the importance of strong passwords. Another Dance cum Act on the responsible use of social media highlighted the risks associated with over-sharing and privacy concerns, encouraging students to be mindful of their digital footprint.

The event concluded with our respected Director Madam’s words of wisdom. She emphasized the need for vigilance in the digital space, reminding students that cyber safety begins with each one of us. Her message underscored the school’s commitment to fostering a safe and responsible online environment for all students.

The Cyber Awareness Week and concluding special assembly were both highly impactful, helping students gain critical knowledge about the cyber world’s benefits and risks, equipping them to navigate the internet responsibly and safely.
