NATIONAL VOTER DAY

The National Voters’ Day has been celebrated on January 25 every year since 2011, all across the country to mark the foundation day of Election Commission of India, i.e. 25th January 1950. Theme for this year’s NVD is ‘Making Elections Inclusive, Accessible and Participative’.
The main purpose of the NVD celebration is to encourage, facilitate and maximize enrolment, especially for the new voters. Dedicated to the voters of the country, the day is utilized to spread awareness among voters and for promoting informed participation in the electoral.
Rashtra Shakti Vidyalaya, here celebrated National Voters’ Day on 25th January 2023 as per the guidelines of the district administration. The event was organised to create awareness among students and staff about the electoral process and the right to vote.
The students of RSV here pulled up their socks and took up a massive campaign to promote voting ahead .The event commenced with the thought of the day said by Lubhawni of XI Humanities which was followed by an article by Lucky of XI Humanities on ‘Why 25 January is observed as National Voter’sDay’.The event continued with a poem recitation by Priya and Khuzaima of class VI B.Ananya of class VII B enlightened the students by delivering an article on ‘Remote Voting Machine’. An illuminating skit titled ‘Importance of Voting’ was performed by the girls of XI Humanities.
Also the pledge for National Voters’ Day was taken by the faculties, staff and students on 25th January 2023 .
The Director madam Ms. Shashi Tyagi concluded the event by sharing her views on the significance of the day.
