“Protect Tigers, Protect Our Planet. Every Action Counts.”

 

International Tiger Day is celebrated annually on July 29th to raise awareness for tiger conservation. Under the esteemed guidance and supervision of honourable Director madam Ms. Shashi Tyagi and respected HOS mam Ms. Meenakshi Bhat, a special assembly was organised to commemorate this important day and to educate students about the significance of protecting tigers and their habitats.

Khushi of Class-VI A shared ‘Thought of the Day’ on tigers which emphasised on save our tigers, save our pride. Hridyansh of Class-VI B gave a quick news update containing national, international & sports news.

A captivating presentation was delivered by the students of Class-VI A providing insightful information about tigers, their habitats, the challenges they face, and the critical need for conservation efforts. The presentation included facts and statistics about Project Tiger that highlighted the current status of tiger population in India.Students of Class IV and V presented some fascinating and concerning facts about tigers.It was concluded with a collective pledge taken by students and teachers to support tiger conservation efforts. Each participant vowed to spread awareness and contribute in any way possible to protect these magnificent creatures.

A skit depicting the life of tigers in the wild and the threats they face from poaching and habitat loss was presented by the students of Class- III B.

A dance performance celebrating the beauty and majesty of tigers was presented by the students of Class-III A emphasised the importance of wildlife conservation.

Throughout the event, Sarthak Dwivedi and Kunal of Class- VI B skilfully compered, seamlessly guiding the audience through the various segments with grace and poise.

Class-6 students were engaged in an educational exercise to locate tiger reserves in India on a map. This activity aimed to enhance students’ knowledge about tiger habitats and the importance of preserving these majestic creatures.Students gained a comprehensive understanding of the geographical distribution of tiger reserves in India.They learned about the critical role these reserves play in protecting the tiger population.

Overall, The International Tiger Day celebration was a resounding success, leaving students inspired and more informed about the importance of tiger conservation. The event not only raised awareness but also instilled a sense of responsibility and commitment towards preserving our wildlife.
