Under the esteemed guidance and supervision of the Director Madam and Head of School, a vibrant and intellectually stimulating Shakespeare’s Day celebration was organised at Rashtra Shakti Vidyalaya on April 23, 2024. The event showcased a multitude of talents, paying homage to the timeless legacy of William Shakespeare.
The day commenced with an array of class-level activities tailored to the unique learning levels of students across different grades. From Ear Bud Impression for Class I, Class II listen and colour Shakespeare’s sketch to Puppet Presentations for Classes III to V, each activity was meticulously designed and conducted by the respective English subject teachers.
As the day progressed, the main event unfolded with captivating performances by students from grades VI to XI. Carol by students of Grade VI to IX, poetry by Lavanya, and an enactment of “THE LIFE HISTORY of William Shakespeare” by Class VI and VII highlighted the versatility and depth of Shakespeare’s influence.
Furthermore, the impact of Shakespeare’s works on English literature was eloquently explored, emphasizing his enduring influence on language, drama, and culture. Certificates were distributed to winners of a quiz based on William Shakespeare, acknowledging their knowledge and appreciation of the Bard’s works.
Throughout the event, Manvi and Ananya skilfully compered, seamlessly guiding the audience through the various segments with grace and poise. Class IX students left a lasting impression with their poignant dance drama depicting the ‘Seven Ages of a Man,’ a powerful portrayal inspired by Shakespeare’s works.
The celebration concluded on a note of Wisdom Words by Honourable Director Madam and, Arnav Tyagi Litle Shakespeare of the day expressed heartfelt thanks to august gathering .The day ended with the National Anthem, symbolizing unity and pride in our cultural heritage.
