THE CELEBRATION OF CONSTITUTION DAY

‘Constitution is not a mere lawyer’s document, it is the vehicle of life, and its spirit is always the spirit of Age.’

The existence and successful survival of “Democracy in such diverse conditions is the most celebrated fact about our country and constitution is its backbone. To reinforce the significance and importance of constitution the government of India declared 26 of November as Constitution Day on 19 November 2015 by a gazette notification in remembrance of the Father of Indian Constitution, Dr. BR Ambedkar.

To mark the significance of this day, a Special Assembly was conducted in Rashtra Shakti Vidyalayain all its solemnity. The celebration started by the anchoring of Anushka and Vedika of class IX A.Rishita of XI Humanitiesspoke apt words as the thought for the day. This worthy thought was followed by Preamble MassReadingby the students of XI Humanities.Toshit,the student of class X recited aHindi poem ‘Yah MeraSamvidhanHai’ which expressed the feeling of pride towards the Indian Constitution. A specially designed quiz was conducted to enhance the awareness of the students about their constitution. The answers were fast and prompt.Further aPreambleSongwas presented by Tanisha of XIIHumanities which was carried forward by an articledelivered by Pooja of XI Humanities.The last activity of this celebration included ‘NukkadNaatak’which described  the true meaning of fundamental rights.

Then came the culmination of the ceremony. Our Director Ma’am Ms. Shashi Tyagiblessed the students byemphasizing the importance of Constitution Day. She highlighted the significance of its celebration and commemorated the people who contributed to the development of Indian constitution.

The assembly concluded with the National Anthem which  is definitely one composition which makes every Indian feel connected with the country.
