NATIONAL PANCHAYATI RAJ DAY

Rashtra Shakti Vidyalaya was full of excitement as students from Classes VI to VIII took part in a Mock Panchayat Election to commemorate National Panchayati Raj Day on 24 April 2025. To make the event exciting and realistic, a fictional village was set up where students got to experience how elections work in real life.

The event had three parts. In the first part, students shared their ideas and promises (manifestos) in their classrooms. From there, the best candidates were chosen.

In the second phase, the chosen candidates gave speeches in the morning assembly in front of all students. The speeches were not only spirited but also reflected a deep understanding of grassroots governance and community needs.The air was filled with campaign slogans, party symbols, and students acting as campaign agents, making the experience lively and fun.

The concluding event was held on 24 April 2025 at the school playground, which had been creatively converted into a realistic polling center. The entire setup closely resembled the framework of actual elections. Students took on responsibilities like Election Commissioners and polling booth staff with great dedication, ensuring the voting process was efficient and transparent.
